Pam and Tony pulled off the quintessential Santa Cruz wedding: simple, elegant, and by the ocean! Throw in a historic lighthouse, a perfect autumn day, and a few beloved family and friends and you’ve got the makings for a memorable event! Bonus points for a kilt wearing groom!
Over the years we have been privileged enough to bear witness to the joining of two people whose love, respect, and friendship will bind them together in joyous matrimony. At Richard and Taylor’s wedding this August at the Pema Osel Ling Retreat Center, we were lucky enough to also celebrate the joining of two amazing families.
In one of life’s fortuitous events, Taylor, a quirky and fun loving California girl met Richard, a charming Brit, while working (not exactly together but) at the British Embassy in Washington DC. Simple geography would normally dictate that these two lovebirds would spend the rest of their lives jumping from one continent to another visiting with their respective relatives. However, it soon became very clear to us that these two families were going to spend many holidays, vacations and celebrations together in the years to come; over half of Richard and Taylor’s many wedding guests made the long trip across the pond to show their love and support! And despite the occasional good-natured jab in the ribs (“Just remember that we won Bunker Hill!”), the Yanks and the Brits embraced each other and celebrated the night away as if they had all been lifelong friends.
